Super clean, big room with sitting area, with relaxing chair with armrests and cute little table, air conditioning is positioned well, the bed is comfortable, good quality bed linen. Very quiet. The room is pleasant to be in. Good location, there is AOEN shopping across the street, big parking. Breakfast is very good and consists mostly of Japanese food, but there are also steamed fresh vegetables: sweet potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, and some green vegetables, all of them grown locally, there are some croissants and some little sweet pastries. A lot of washing machines and driers in hotel, all of them are super clean. In the hallway is played soft relaxing music , you don’t hear it in the room.

Very helpful manager of the hotel, who helped us with translating and even arranging taxis for us, as our hired car didn't work out. Nice and clean room, good bed, bath with everything available to use. Walkable distance from family mart. We enjoyed our stay here.

The resort and hospitality were outstanding! We enjoyed our apartment a lot - it was very clean, has a lot of space and a gorgeous view! The barbecue organised by Tomo in our garden was very nice and delicious as well. Just nearby there are also beautiful beaches.

Wonderful island with tons of things to discover.
Mostly Japanese tourists. We went off season, so not crowded at all. Most things are in Japanese only and people only speak minimal English. We used Google translate a lot.

This has been the best island that we have visited to date very clean great beaches and plenty to see
Traveling around was easy as roads are good, Sat Nav in rental car was a bit hit and miss
There different colors of the sea are a must to see and take pictures
We were very lucky had a BBQ at a popular beach and it happened to be a very good place to see a sunset that evening

The center city is not very lively or pretty.
The center city is not very lively or pretty. The island is rather rural with lots of banana, tobacco, and sugar cane plots. However, the suburb areas near the beaches are beautiful. I would recommend a resort as the available activities are limited to outdoors and dining. A car is required to get around. Unsure if there is any nightlife in the area.

Wonderful and beautiful place, the color of the sea amazing, many interesting sites to visit BUT you NEED a car (to rent a car). The public transportation is almost non existent (there is a bus to the airport). The island is too big for the bicycle, and too hilly.

During Golden Week, you must book an Izakaya for dinner ahead of time. If you try to walk into a restaurant, they will be fully booked or not let you in. Some of the locals seemed to discriminate against foreigners but not other Japanese tourists.

It’s a magical island and I didn’t see as much as I wanted...
It’s a magical island and I didn’t see as much as I wanted due to a 4 day typhoon where we needed to stay inside…typhoons are common but not this long! But the accommodation was very flexible and offered extra nights at reduced cost
I’ll be back to complete my sightseeing outside of typhoon season!
The host and team were very kind. It's a relatively small house in which the guests live together with the host and the staff. It's a family atmosphere between the host, the staff and the guests.
We cooked together, made some trips and just went for dinner/drinking.
Since I speak only a bit of Japanese there was some language barrier, since the host speaks only japanese. However, some of the guests could speak a bit of English and for the translation apps could be used. Nevertheless I never felt excluded.
This apartment hotel is very convenient, well located with a supermarket not far (by car). As there is a functionnal kitchen it is convenient for meals there.
The location is good in Miyakojima, the most famous beaches are reachable by car in less than 30 min.
The apartment is quiet, the room is big and clean, the bed is comfortable.
There is a heater in the bathroom to dry the clothes if necessary, as there is a washing machine.
Owner's personality is just outstanding!!! I live in Japan for many years, but it is the first time when I meet owner like him.
He is so gentle, friendly, sincere and warm person. He is doing everything for customers' comfort. I have no words to describe how I am impressed by him.
I wish this hostel all the best, and would love to come again.
Thank you for everything, Motomura san!
The apartment hotel is sizable and extremely clean. They let me stay an extra night at the last minute at a reduced cost due to a typhoon. They were able to communicate via email in good English. The location is near the Irabu bridge and an OK beach but traveling to the brilliant beaches is easy access via car or on foot of you want to work out! I’ll definitely stay here again!
The room was very spacious and we had enough dishes and utensils to eat and cook for ourselves without any hassle. There was free tea and burnt coffee available in the lobby next to the front desk. We are from California, and the hotel did feel a bit like home, so I guess it's somewhat authentic. There's Blue Seal ice cream for sale next to the front desk.
The best hostel I’ve stayed in Japan. The owner Max and Wakana the staff were really cool and friendly and Happy-chan the cat is very cute. The hostel has a great atmosphere and the communal areas downstairs and the terrace are relaxing places to hang out. I had the private room with beds and the mattress and pillow are super comfortable.
A neat, clean and enthusiastic host. You can ride a bike to the lighthouse and the coast. It's also friendly for people who don't have a car.
Japanese houses are not soundproof, so it may not be suitable for you to live here if you are sensitive to sound.
It makes me feel at home. I will come back next time.❤️
-Good location(sea side and close to the beach, hotel locates in the calm place)
-Convenience(All in one, hotel, supermarket, restaurant, coffee shop, rent a bicycle and diving shop)
-Old building, but clean and renovated bathroom
-Good restaurant(cheap and tasty )
-Specially all nice staffs, so friendly
Free private airport shuttle provided by Shigara resort. Easy to find on arrival. Return to airport also free, to be reserved at reception. "Twin room" spartan, but very functional. In-room safe. After 4 pm free shuttle bus to other areas of Shigara resort.
Good breakfast buffet.
Although we didn't use it, the hotel room had a microwave and washer in addition to a mini fridge. The toilet and shower rooms were a nice size. I liked the bench seat at the window, and the TV was huge. Also they had nice pillows, and an onsen. Nice AC that was super effective.
Incredibly clean. Good location with blue seal shop, a beach within walking distance, couple of shops and restaurants. Parking spots for a rented car. Great value as a base to explore Miyako island. The staff kindly stored our luggage after check-out.
Very affordable and functional apartment with view of the bay. The apartment actually felt big for Japan. We had everything we needed to cook and we had bicycles to ride around the island (cooking utensils and bikes must be rented from the hotel).
The location was amazing, and the rooms and facilities were very clean. It is nice that all rooms have a window with a view on the port and the sea. The hotel lobby is a calming space with a nice vibe. Overall an amazing experience.
This was one of the best vacations I ever had. The hotel staff go above and beyond to make your comfortable and make all arrangements for transportation, activities, reservations, etc. I will definitely come again.
The hotel is located close to beautiful sea and the hotel is surrounded by rich nature.
The hotel staff were very kind and smiled all the time. We really had a wonderful time.
