My partner and I stayed for 4 nights at this place while we were in Kyoto, and needless to say we loved it. The location was perfect, just a couple minutes to places that we frequent (Nishiki market, Weekenders coffee), and proximity to train stations wasn't bad either. The staff were great and very helpful when we needed something. We have nothing but good comments, and would very much like to come back again soon :)

The hotel's clean, nicely decorated and the room was really cozy. Public bath was fully equipped with everything so I could enjoy the hot spring there. Staffs are extremely nice and communicate in English really well that I was really impressed. 100% come back next time and rcm it to my friends

The area is really nice to stroll around too, very lively at night. Best sleep we got the entire trip.

Our stay was this time again great, the hotel staff very nice and helpful, the room was spacious and had a beautiful view over the roofs of Kyoto with mountains in the background, the shuttle very helpful. The possibility to rent bicycles directly from the hotel is also convenient.

(Almost) Everything was perfect. Room has a big space, tolet is great, bath room is exeptional, staffs were friendly and polite. They even has a Nespresso Coffee maker in room! My room was beyond my expectation it's definately an art in a form of hotel room. Breakfast is decent they are really clever with the use of ingredients, there aren't a wide spread of buffet line but, there is enough option and almost everything was delicious. Whenever I comeback to Kyoto in the future, it's no-brainer to stay here again.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the main photo , it looks like a shed and I was nervous, but this hotel really is lovely! The photo is of the covered entrance with a function room, the main hotel is behind that facing the tranquil ocean! Our room was gorgeous and waking up to the sound of the gentle waves was glorious. The beds were very comfortable and the room was incredibly spacious. The hot spring was lovely too! Wished we’d stayed longer.

Wow! What's not to like? Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei is an exceptional Hotel/ Inn/ Guest House. The service is very personal, the rooms are of adequate size (for Japan), the location is a short 5 minutes walk to the metro or 3 minutes to the bus stop. Its right across a creek with wonderful views of Cherry Blossoms. We didn't get the breakfast but maybe we should have??? Oh well, next time for sure. The ensuite Hinoki Cypress Tub is a welcome bonus! Great way to relax after all that walking :-)

PERFECT LOCATION! Right at where you want to be in Kyoto. Spacious room, amazing views from the third floor and rooftop and Haka who works there is very kind and welcoming.
