The room felt very modern, it had a good kitchen, washer/dryer, cosy dining area, good tvs. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was also top notch. The parking was reserved and arranged ahead of time (paid) and we had no problems with it! Though it is not in the same building so beware of that. The location was excellent! Not only it was super easy to drive from the ferry and also to leave from hotel traveling north but it is also in the bustling city part with plenty of shops and restaurants! The cable car is next door! Botanical garden is within walking distance as well.

Offering refurbished accommodation in the heart of Wellington's entertainment precinct, Oaks Wellington Hotel boasts city views and is just 500 metres from the waterfront. The room was big and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was very nice, with lots of options (we reserved with the breakfast buffet included, but the other options available in the menu looked nice as well). Hotel was very central, which is a plus because we enjoy walking around as much as possible.

Situated in Wellington's CBD, Doubletree By Hilton Wellington offers guests a city escape, just 450 metres from the waterfront. Everything. Location - very central, still quiet inside room. The front desk receptionist (Indian guy from UP, can't remember the name) was excellent and very helpful. Also they let us do early check in. The breakfast was also excellent. The price was also relatively better compared to other smaller hotels. You just add a bit extra to get all the extra comforts. Worth it.
